About Live Local

Hello, I'm Laura and thanks for visiting Live Local.

I recently launched Live Local as a non-for-profit community website that aims to connect self-isolating Londoners with local businesses who are continuing to supply essential goods and services. 

 

​Why is this important?

 

Our world has changed drastically because of the COVID-19 pandemic with London practically going into lockdown. 

 

This has affected each and every one of us and especially our local businesses. In response, our locals have had to find new and creative ways to continue operating to provide their communities with essentials like food, household cleaning products as well as mental and physical health support. 

​

I created this site as a central online space to help keep all of my London neighbours in-the-know about who is open and providing food, and health essentials nearby/online. But even beyond COVID-19, I'd love to give independent businesses a platform to promote their services, and a way for us to find out about them in a single place!
